Apply for the budget

Your chances of getting your money back

Instead of a benefit in kind, you can receive participation benefits as a cash amount (personal budget) and organize your own support, for example by hiring an assistant yourself (§ 29 SGB IX). There is a legal entitlement to this form of benefit.
The budget is set out in a target agreement with the responsible provider. A cross-provider budget is also possible, bundling benefits from several providers (one point of contact).
