Why this app exists
Being in the right does not mean you get your right, at least not if you cannot afford a lawyer. That is exactly where countless people sit down every day and give up: with the unjustified debt-collection demand, the cut Jobcenter decision, the online scam, the letter no one understands.The Anwalts-Bürger-App is built so that the weaker side can defend itself too, calmly, factually and with the right words. It explains your problem, names the relevant laws, writes the letter and stays with your case. You only need a lawyer when there is really no other way, and even then you already have everything neatly prepared.
Who is behind it
My name is Sebastian Niehues. There is no corporation behind the Anwalts-Bürger-App, just me, with a pretty clear message.

It deeply bothers me how many people put themselves above others and think they will get away with it, in small ways and in large ones. That is exactly what I am building this against.
Far too often I read how people have their rights taken from them, by others who simply pressure them. No matter which area you look at, the internet is full of it. And hardly anyone fights back, because a lawyer is expensive, or the money is already gone after the scam anyway.
I find it especially bad when scammers take hard-earned money from elderly people. When I then see someone of retirement age having to collect deposit bottles, it hits me. For some, a case like that is “only” money, for others their livelihood hangs on it. And in a situation like that, no one has time to lose.
My goal is simple: to give people who cannot afford an expensive lawyer a good tool. That is why the app should help fast, be simple for everyone and stay as cheap as possible. Of course the vision has to fund itself, some building blocks cost money. But the core, the part you defend yourself with, stays free.
And I want to make it easy for lawyers too: cases that are already neatly prepared, so they can help with little effort. Simple for citizens, simple for lawyers, so that in the end more people get their right.

Defending yourself must not fail because of money. Writing letters, checking scams, knowing your rights, that stays free.
Honest, not a black box
You see every letter, every recipient, every reply. And we say openly where something does not help, instead of raising false hopes.
Your data stays yours
Servers in the EU (Frankfurt), GDPR-compliant, no tracking or advertising cookies. We do not sell data.
A tool, not legal advice
The app is an aid for self-help (RDG). For real advice we connect you, on request, with vetted lawyers.
What we deliberately do not do
- No public pillory: we do not name companies or individuals as “scammers” on an online pillory, that would be unfair and legally risky.
- No invented numbers or promises of success: we only show what is real.
- No hidden subscriptions: what is free stays free; if something costs money later, we say so clearly beforehand.
- No data trading and no advertising profiles.
