Frequently asked questions

Answered briefly and honestly, without legal jargon.

Is this legal advice?

No. The tool is help for self-help and does not replace a lawyer (RDG). You check the content, decide and sign yourself. For complex cases or a high amount in dispute: a lawyer or the free consumer advice centre.

What does it cost?

Recognizing the case, the provisions and the finished letter are free. Only the convenient one-click sending by registered mail (premium) would cost something later; printing and sending it yourself stays free.

Is my data safe?

As much as possible runs locally and offline. With an account, data is hosted in the EU, encrypted and accessible only to you. You can export everything or delete it completely at any time (GDPR).

Can the AI be wrong?

AI can be wrong, which is why the legal basis does NOT come from the AI but from official laws (gesetze-im-internet.de) and is checked: every provision must officially exist (correct number AND correct law). The AI may only smooth the language, never change the provisions. Still: read the letter before you send it.

I do not have the letter as a file, what now?

A photo is enough (the AI reads it). Without AI or internet you can type the text or paste it as a .txt file; the tool works then too. From the recognized text it also automatically pulls details like amount, date and reference number and pre-fills the letter, you only need to check them.

Can a claim be too old (time-barred)?

Yes. Many claims become time-barred after 2 to 3 years (for example warranty on a purchase 2 years, most others 3 years). The tool warns you roughly if your claim is likely already time-barred after the stated date, and for claims AGAINST you it points out that these too can be time-barred (an objection in your favour). Whether the limitation really applies depends on the individual case; when in doubt, have it checked briefly.

What if the company does not respond?

First wait for the deadline set in the letter (keep a copy and proof of posting). No response? On request the tool creates a second demand with a short additional deadline directly from the case file (a follow-up letter), depending on the case as a final demand or as a reaffirmation of your objection. If that does not help either: a consumer advice centre or a conciliation body; for a high amount in dispute, a lawyer.

Is the letter legally binding, is it enough in court?

The letter is an out-of-court document with which you assert your rights (for example a withdrawal, a notice of defects, an objection). Court proceedings are something different, but often the matter is already resolved by the letter.

Can I change the letter beforehand?

Yes, absolutely. Read it in peace, add details and adapt it to your case before you sign and send it.

What is the difference from a lawyer?

A lawyer advises you individually and represents you. This tool gives you checked templates for standard cases, the relevant laws and explanations, fast and cheap. For individual advice, the lawyer remains.

How reliable is the scam and trustworthiness assessment?

The tool never claims 'scammer'. It shows typical warning signs (traffic light) and tells you what you can check with which official body (for example whether a debt-collection agency is even registered). You get a reliable confirmation for free from the consumer advice centre.

Not legal advice (RDG). For complex cases, a consumer advice centre or a lawyer can help.
