Act together

Many people are often affected by the same fake shop, provider or scammer, alone you give up easily, together you have more weight. Enter the party you are dealing with: we show you how many others have reported them, and how you can act together.

Data protection: we publish no names and no list of parties. You only see counts, no one sees your entries except you. We bundle and mediate, we do not sue ourselves.

How does a class action work in Germany?

Unlike in the USA, not just anyone can simply file a "class action". There are two paths:

1. Representative action (Verbandsklage, since 2023)

Recognized consumer associations (for example the consumer advice centers, Verbraucherzentralen) sue on behalf of many affected people.

  • You register your claim free of charge in the representative-action register at the Federal Office of Justice (Bundesamt für Justiz).
  • The registration suspends the limitation period, your claim does not expire while the proceedings are running.
  • You bear no cost risk; the association runs the case. You only benefit if you are registered.

2. A bundled action through a lawyer

If there is no representative action, several affected people can sue together through a law firm (joinder of parties, Streitgenossenschaft), often cheaper, possibly with advisory assistance or legal aid.
