Frequently asked questions
Am I entitled to a mother-child cure?
When medically necessary, yes: the mother/father-child cure is a mandatory benefit of the statutory health insurer (§ 24/§ 41 SGB V). The basis is a medical certificate about your need for a cure. An accompanying child is covered too.
What to do if the insurer rejects the cure?
File an objection within one month (§ 84 SGG) and submit a detailed medical justification. Many rejections are corrected on objection. Advice centers of the Müttergenesungswerk support you with this free of charge.
