Who pays for the children's rehabilitation?
Depending on the case, the statutory health insurance (§ 40 SGB V) or the pension insurance (SGB VI). The condition is medically justified necessity, for example in the case of chronic illnesses, asthma, obesity or emotional stress. For younger children an accompanying person can travel along, whose costs can also be covered.
What can I do if the children's rehabilitation is rejected?
You can lodge an objection against the decision within one month and submit a detailed medical justification of the necessity. Many rejections are corrected in the objection process. You can get support with the application and objection from the pediatrician, from rehabilitation advice centers and from welfare associations.
