Frequently asked questions
May school or daycare publish photos of my child?
Usually only with your consent as the person with custody (§ 22 KUG, Art. 6 DSGVO). This applies above all to publications on websites, in social media or in newspapers. For purely internal purposes, other standards can apply.
Can I revoke my consent?
Yes. The consent is voluntary and can be revoked at any time with effect for the future. After the revocation, the photos may not be disseminated further and you can demand the deletion of images already published.
Do I have to agree to the publication?
No. The consent is voluntary, and its refusal may bring no disadvantages for your child. An institution may not make participation in activities dependent on the photo consent.
