Frequently asked questions
How long can I reverse a direct debit?
You can have an authorized SEPA core direct debit reversed by your bank within 8 weeks of the charge without giving reasons. If the direct debit was not authorized by you at all, you have up to 13 months.
Does the reversal also settle the claim?
No. The reversal only undoes the incorrect debit. Any justified claim remains, so additionally clarify the matter with the company to avoid follow-up trouble.
