Which benefits does the education package include?
Among others, personal school supplies (an annual lump sum), one-day outings and multi-day class trips, school transport, communal lunch, learning support (tutoring) and a monthly contribution for sport, culture and leisure (a club fee, music school and similar).
Who is entitled to it?
Children and young people in families who receive Bürgergeld, social assistance, housing benefit, the child supplement or benefits under the Asylum Seekers' Benefits Act. You must apply for the benefits separately; they are not automatically included in the standard rate.
