Declaration of Intent
A statement by which a legal consequence is intended.
A declaration of intent is the expression of the will to bring about a specific legal consequence (for example an offer or an acceptance). It becomes effective as soon as it reaches the recipient. Contracts arise from two matching declarations of intent.
