Waiting Period (Insurance)
Time after the contract begins without full coverage.
In some insurance policies there is a waiting period at the start during which certain benefits are not yet covered or only covered to a limited extent, for example in supplementary dental or funeral expense insurance. Only after it expires does full entitlement exist.
