Maternity Protection (Mutterschutz)
Protection of pregnant women and mothers at work.
The Maternity Protection Act protects pregnant and breastfeeding women, for example through employment bans, protective periods before and after childbirth, and special protection against dismissal. During the protective periods, maternity benefit and an employer supplement are paid.
