Order for Payment (Mahnbescheid)
An official court letter about a monetary claim, with a 2-week deadline.
An order for payment arrives in a yellow envelope from the local court (Amtsgericht). It does not mean the claim is justified; the court does not check that. You have two weeks to lodge an objection (the form is enclosed). If you do nothing, an enforcement order (Vollstreckungsbescheid) can follow.
