Guarantee
A voluntary promise by the manufacturer, in addition to the statutory warranty.
A guarantee is voluntary: manufacturer or retailer promises to stand behind the product's function for a certain time. It comes on top of the statutory warranty and does not replace it. Exactly what applies is set out in the guarantee terms.
