Create an objection

Your chances of getting your money back

You can file an objection against the care fund's decision within one month (§ 84 SGG). After that it becomes final.
The procedure is free of charge (§ 183 SGG). Request the expert opinion (from the Medical Service); impairments are often rated too low there, which can be corrected on objection.

What you should do now

  1. 1

    1. Note the deadline

One month runs from notification. File an objection to preserve the deadline; you can submit the reasoning later.

  2. 2

    2. Request the expert opinion

Demand the complete care expert opinion. Compare the modules rated there with the actual need for help.

  3. 3

    3. Keep a care diary

Document, over several days, concretely with what and how often help is needed; that is strong evidence.

  4. 4

    4. Get support

Care support points, social associations (VdK, SoVD), and care advisers help free of charge with the objection.

Frequently asked questions

How long do I have to file the objection?

What helps to get a higher care level?
