Criminal Complaint (Request for Prosecution)

For some offenses, a prerequisite for prosecution.

For certain criminal offenses, such as insult or trespass, the act is only prosecuted if the injured party files a request for prosecution. As a rule, a period of three months applies, counted from becoming aware of the act and the offender. The request can in some cases be withdrawn.
