Compulsory Share
A minimum share of the estate for close relatives.
If a close relative (children, spouse, in some cases parents) is disinherited, they are entitled to the compulsory share: half of the statutory share of the inheritance, as a monetary claim against the heirs. Gifts made in recent years may be added to the calculation.
