Hierarchy of Courts
The sequence of courts for legal remedies.
The hierarchy of courts describes which courts can deal with a matter in succession, from the first instance through the appeal instance to the instance for appeals on points of law. Not every matter passes through all levels; this depends on the amount in dispute and the admissibility of the remedies.
