Liability Ratio

Apportionment of liability after an accident.

If both parties involved in an accident are at fault, or if the operating risk of the vehicle also contributes, the damage is apportioned according to a liability ratio, for example 70 to 30. The contributions to causing the accident are decisive. The ratio determines who bears which share of the damage.
