Fake Payment Page

A rebuilt payment or bank page that captures your data.

A fake payment page looks like the site of a bank or a payment service but belongs to the criminals. You reach it through a link that was sent to you. If you enter bank details there or link an account, the criminals use this data to debit money. One way to recognize it: no genuine payment service asks you, through a sent link, to enter bank details so that you can receive money. Such pages are often offline again after a day, which is why screenshots showing the address bar are so important.
