Parental Allowance (Elterngeld)
A benefit for parents after the birth of a child.
Parental allowance replaces part of the income that is lost after the birth. There is basic parental allowance and ElterngeldPlus, as well as the partnership bonus. You apply for it at the parental allowance office.
