Processing on Behalf of a Controller

Data processing on behalf of another party.

With processing on behalf of a controller, a service provider processes personal data on the instructions and behalf of the controller, for example a cloud provider. A contract with fixed obligations is required for this. The controller remains responsible for data protection.
